Lauren Katherine Conrad was born on February 1st, 1986 in Newport Beach, California.

Lauren Conrad grew up in Laguna Beach, California, and during her senior year in high school, Conrad and her classmates starred in the MTV reality hit, “Laguna Beach.” Lauren, better known as “LC” by her friends, was a major focus on the show, along with arch rival, Kristen Cavallari.

After graduating in 2004, Lauren went on to the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California. After one semester at AAU, Conrad transferred to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising during the second season of “Laguna Beach.”

After “Laguna Beach” and the Kristin Cavallari drama ended, Lauren took an internship at “Teen Vogue,” which increasingly helped to improve sales of the teen version of the renowned fashion magazine.

Lauren also received the opportunity to star in her own reality television show, appropriately called “The Hills,” after the Hollywood Hills. The show became a hit reality series on MTV, replacing “Laguna Beach.”

The series took place in Conrad’s new hometown, Los Angeles.

It also featured new friends of Lauren’s not present in “Laguna.” These new “characters” included Heidi Montag, Stephanie Pratt, Lauren Bosworth, and Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner, and Spencer Pratt.

Friendships and alliances shift frequently, most memorably when Heidi, Lauren’s best friend, left her roommate Conrad’s house and moved in with her boyfriend, Spencer Pratt. Rumors began to swirl about nude pictures Lauren Conrad allegedly took along with the Conrad tape scandal, causing her to draw comfort from friend Brody Jenner.

The war continues between former best friends Montag and Conrad, however rumors of their reconciliation have been heard around Hollywood recently. Spencer Pratt, who has had a rivalry with Lauren since he began dating Montag, has even expressed his hope that the girls could solve their differences, and that he would support his girlfriend in whatever she chose to do.

Along with dealing with friend and boy drama, Lauren has also recently started her own fashion line, which debuted in March 2008. Lauren continues to film “The Hills” fourth season, and occasionally guest stars on television shows such as ABC Family’s “Greek.”
