Season Summaries

Below is a listing of summaries for each season of The Hills MTV series that has come to pass. Enjoy!

Season 1

Lauren Conrad began her journey into independence with leaving her hometown of Laguna Beach for Los Angeles. She attended college in the city while rooming with her BFF, Heidi Montag.

The everyday grind was glamorous, but tight - balancing school, working at Teen Vogue, and dating. The girls met and befriended aspiring actress, Audrina Patridge.

Audrina became a close friend, offering plenty of advice to both Lauren and Heidi. One day Lauren got a phone call from ex-boyfriend, Jason Wahler. Jason convinced Lauren to give him a second chance.

With time Heidi came to the conclusion that college was not her future and dropped out. Heidi quickly found a job working for Bolthouse Productions (an event-planning company). Heidi became romantically involved with Jordan Eubanks - but it was short lived. Audrina has relationship dating problems of her own.

The Hills MTV season concluded with Lauren being given the opportunity to take an internship in Paris, but she turned it down so she could be with Jason for the summer. Whitney Port (a fellow intern), was then offered the Paris internship and accepted. Heidi and Audrina, both being single, began to embrace the summer nights as young, single women in Los Angeles.

Season 2

Lauren decided that her decision about Jason was a giant mistake and they dramatically ended their relationship. Lauren quickly buried herself in her work and the natural competition that came with it between interns.

Whitney began pursuing a higher level job within Teen Vogue. Heidi began to be seen in public with Spencer Pratt, and rumors flew that they were dating - much to Lauren's dismay.

Spencer attempted to get with Audrina behind Heidi's back, but was caught. He successfully got out of the hot water by claiming that Audrina was the one chasing him. Heidi and Audrina had a nasty argument and Heidi refused to speak to Audrina anymore. With time they made up.

Heidi caught Spencer cheating and proclaimed that their relationship was officially over - with time she took him back as well.

Lauren and Audrina began to become closer and Lauren asked Audrina to move in with her - she accepted. Heidi became extremely jealous about Lauren and Audrina's growing friendship and moved in with Spencer herself. This set of circumstances led to the end of Lauren and Heidi's once-strong friendship

Season 3

Lauren's broken relationship with Heidi took another blow when word got out that Heidi spread a nasty rumor about LC. The two quickly cut ties between them.

Whitney was promoted to Direct Supervisor to interns at Teen Vogue and struggled with the position after the break-up with her boyfriend. Lauren was given a second chance at Paris and she accepted with Whitney tagging along.

Whitney decided that she was not happy with her current job and decided to work for a fashion PR firm (People's Revolution). Lauren made the switch as well. Lauren decided to buy a house with her childhood friend, Lo Bosworth, in Hollywood. They invited Audrina to live with them - to Lo's dismay.

Audrina began to have an off-and-on relationship with Justin again. Heidi continued to work for Bolthouse Productions and continued to struggle with her engagement to Spencer.

The two love birds had a blow up, which led to Spencer moving out to live with his sister, Stephanie. The two went on "relationship vacation" (or a break).

The season concluded with Stephanie putting herself in the middle of Lauren and Heidi's catfight by becoming friends with LC.

In The Hills MTV finale, Spencer followed Heidi on a business trip to Las Vegas and convinced her to return to LA with him - jeopardizing her career. Audrina confronted Lauren that Lo was slowly coming between them.
