Whitney Port in
The City

Here she is...

whitney port

Whitney Port has begun working on her own series titled The City.

The Hills spin off will feature Whitney and her daily adventures after leaving the “fab” life of Los Angeles for the “glam” life of Manhattan.

If you enjoy The Hills you will be happy to know that much of the same structure and story building will carry over to Whitney's new series - a major reason is that The City MTV series is created by Adam DiVello (mere coincidence that he is the creator of the Hills as well? We think not!) and many of the producers from Laguna Beach and The Hills are returning for this trilogy-like development.

A little more about the plot:

Whitney decides to leave her life and friends on the West coast and heads east to work at the global house, Don Von Furstenberg.

Even though she is leaving her old bff, LC, over 2000 miles away, Whitney won't be lonely - she will be reunited with an old best friend and sparks will fly with a new stud.

But even with the excitement and happiness that Whitney has ahead of her, it won't all be rainbows and butterflies - she will quickly have to learn who she can trust and who she needs to avoid... Will there be a new Spencer in this Hills spin off?

To quote Ms. Port herself, “I am thrilled and honored to be in NYC, not only working for one of the most renowned fashion designers, Diane Von Furstenberg, but to be able to mature as a young woman both professionally and personally.”

The City is scheduled to begin airing in early 2009 on the channel MTV.
