Why Doesn't He Call?

Every woman has found herself asking the question "Why doesn't he call?" at one point or another. It is time you know if it is a problem and why he does it to you.

So...

Take a deep breath, put down the phone and stop checking the answering machine.

Before we get down to business, you need to answer a single question that will determine which section of this material is relevant to you.

The almighty question is:

Have you hooked up with this man already?

If "No", read on.

If "Yes", skip down to "Momma was right."

So you got together with a man that appeared to be wonderful. He was funny, caring, considerate, confident and (best of all) was into you. At the end of the night, he said that he would contact you but it has been days and you haven't heard a peep from him.

What's the deal? Is he trying to make you go crazy? Probably not.

Instead, it could be any one of the following issues playing out:

He may have lost your contact information. If you simply scribbled your number on a napkin while out on the town, there is a good chance that he innocently misplaced the little note. If you think this is what happened, don't be afraid to contact him just to see "how he's been."

He may be playing the "how long do I wait to call her" game. If this is the case, you have no real way of knowing how long it will take him, but typically you can expect within the next three days. This could be viewed as a positive reason because if he is getting this stressed out about calling you (to the point of creating a formula), he probably is very interested in you.

He may be a player. Slick and charismatic, players make you feel special and unique but they really just view you as another trophy in their collection.

Often they won't contact you for weeks, then suddenly reappear recommending a date.

The underlying story is that he has either been too busy for you (while he has been out dating other women) or he simply forgot about you. Either way, forget him.

Another reason he may not be calling is that he may not be interested in you. People can be complex things and men can be especially confusing sometimes. Even if you feel that you shared a special bond, he might beg to differ.

The easiest way to find this out is to contact him just to "say hello." Recommend that you both get together on the weekend and that he should contact you to make plans. If he doesn't call you again - take the hint.

Momma was right.

So after an amazing night of bonding and intimacy, the man who promised that he would contact you doesn't call. While there are countless reasons why this may have occurred, 9 times out of 10 it will be for the following reason:

Men are sexually oriented. It is not necessarily bad and it isn't even intentional - that is just the way they are programmed.

If a man can get sex from a woman without having to enter into a relationship with her, in all likelihood, he will do it.

We need to remember what momma used to say...

"Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?"

...And she was right. You may feel used, but you need to stop putting yourself in that situation to begin with. Slow it down for a healthy relationship.

If you feel that a truly special relationship may be on the horizon with a certain male, wait until it is officially a relationship and he is your boyfriend - then let the sparks fly.
